A Back-Tested Trading Plan Proven Over 20 Simulated Sessions
You will produce a complete trading system: a written rulebook for one setup on one micro futures contract, a back-test of at least 100 historical trades, a trade journal of 20 live simulated sessions with real fills, and a performance review comparing simulated results to the back-test. It proves you learned the course because it requires reading contract specs, sizing by risk, executing brackets correctly, measuring expectancy in R, and staying disciplined across a month rather than getting lucky once.
Milestones
Done when
If you want to go further
- Re-run the same rulebook on a second, uncorrelated contract (e.g. micro gold or micro crude) and compare expectancy across markets.
- Add a session filter (time of day or day of week) and test whether it improves expectancy or merely reduces sample size.
- Script the back-test in a spreadsheet or simple Python notebook so a new 100-trade sample can be scored automatically.
